Crop Progress Update – 6/6/22

According to the USDA, corn and soybean crop progress each remained below five-year average levels during the week nationally but outside of North Dakota and Minnesota, overall progress is on par or ahead of the five-year average.

Corn:

Corn plantings ended the week at 94% complete compared to last year’s pace of 98% and the five-year average pace of 92%.

Corn emergence ended the week at 78% compared to last year’s pace of 89% and the five-year average pace of 81%.

Soybeans:

Soybean plantings ended the week at 78% complete compared to last year’s pace of 89% and the five-year average pace of 79%.

Soybean emergence ended the week at 56% compared to last year’s pace of 74% and the five-year average pace of 59%.
