Crop Progress Update – 4/12/21

According to the USDA, corn planting progress finished slightly above five year average levels during the week ending Apr 11th.

Corn:

Corn plantings as of the week ending Apr 11th were four percent complete, finishing slightly above last year’s pace of three percent completed and the five year average pace of three percent completed. Corn planting progress reached a five year high seasonal level but finished slightly below analyst expectations of six percent completed.

The majority of corn plantings have been completed throughout the states of Louisiana, Georgia, Mississippi, Texas and South Carolina as of the week ending Apr 11th.
