Crop Progress Update – 10/26/20

According to the USDA, corn and soybean harvest progress each remained at four year seasonal high levels through the week ending Oct 25th. Corn harvest progress finished slightly below analyst expectations while soybean harvest progress finished equal to expectations. Corn: Corn harvest progress as of the week ending Oct 25th was 72% completed, finishing ahead of last year’s pace of 38% completed and the five year average pace of 56% completed. Corn harvest progress remained at a four year seasonal high level but finished slightly below analyst expectations of 73% completed. Soybeans: Soybean harvest progress as of the week ending Oct 25th was 83% completed, finishing ahead of last year’s pace of 57% completed and the five year average pace of 73% completed. Soybean harvest progress remained at a four year seasonal high level, finishing equal to analyst expectations.
