Planting Progress Update – 11/21/16
According to USDA, the corn harvest pace remained slightly ahead of the five year average pace through the week ending Nov 20th.
Corn:
The corn harvest stood at 97% completed through the week ending Nov 20th, even with the previous year’s harvest pace of 97% and slightly ahead of the five year average pace of 96%.
An additional 4% of the total U.S. corn crop was harvested during the week ending Nov 20th. Weekly increases in the corn crop harvest on a percentage basis were led by Washington, followed by Michigan and Montana.
